The Riga correspondent of “The Times” states that the Soviet has ordered the industrial centres psychologically to prepare the populace for the trial of Vickers’ engineers, declaring that the Government will not brook foreign interference. All discovered wreckers will be tried regardless of nationality, before a class tribunal. The statement attacks the British die-hards, particularly the Press, as being moralised by shareholders and robber companies to slander the Soviet and help the culprits to evade the law. The Court's pronouncement should be awaited as proof of the charges against the engineers and entails death or banishment, confiscation of belongings, or solitary confinement with forced labour for three years, accompanied by confiscation.
