Mr Stewart, Minister of Commerce is convening a conference of Australian meat interests in January, at which the States and Northern Territory representatives, will discuss the Federal organisation of the industry. A body similar to the New Zealand Meat Board, will probably be evolved, its work having earned eulogies of the investigators. Meat producers contend that such a body will be necessary to assure Australia getting the fullest benefit of the Ottawa Agreements.
