ENTHUSIASM IN BULLER. By Telegraph—Press Association WESTPORT, December 23. At Victoria Square to-night, at the conclusion of an evening sports meeting, the Deputy-Mayor (Mi- J. Menzier), in the absence of the Mayor, civically congratulated the Mahar Cup team on its success at the sports meeting recently held at Blenheim. Buller winning by 52 to Marlborough’s 32. He specially mentioned Eddie Holder, Buller’s All Black, for his fine performance in winning the 100 yards (10 l-ssecs), 220 yards, broad jump (44ft 7in), second in 440, and his great finishing run in the relay, which gave the trophy to Buller.
