FATAL EXPLOSION
SEQUEL TO PLANE CRASH ON ROOF. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received December 21, 7.55 p.m.) PARIS, December 20. A military ’plane crashed on the roof of a house in a Parisian suburb, the pilot being killed instantly. The inhabitants rushed into the street. Policemen and volunteers raising ladders, attempted to reach the wreckage. A septuagenarian woman resident returned to the house to secure her savings, when a violent explosion occurred owing to petrol reaching the stove through the chimney. The explosion killed the woman, and injured nineteen.
