MEKTING OF FARM COMMITTEE. The fifth meeting of the School Farm Committee was held in the Town Hall on 6th December. There were present—Messrs A. H. Roberts (chairman). M. Maze, T. Keliher, B. Woffindin, G. Agnew, W. B. Oborn, A. K. Easterbrook and A, S. de Monbalk (secretary). After routine business had been dealt with, offers of tractor and team work on the farm were received and accepted with thanks, members expressing gratification that so much volunteer work was forthcoming. It was resolved that the matter of the constitution of the Committee be left over till after harvest. A feature of the meeting was a lecture by three senior boys of the High School, embodying observation work carried out in the sector containing oats. The boys spoke in turns, each giving the results of liis own observations, while the operations were summarised on neatly typed sheets given to all present. Blackboard illustrations were also used. At the conclusion of the lecture, the chairman thanked the boys and remarked on the value of the research work done and on the lucid manner in which the explanations had been given.
