The liquidation in December of futures in Liverpool as a result of the announcement in the British House of Commons that preference would not apply to Canadian wheat sent to the United States, and reconsigned to Britain, evoked sympathetic action on Tuesday, values tumbling 1 to li cents. November closed 458 cents, December 45 cents, May 49 cents.
