The Royal Australian Ornithologist’s Union pissed a resolution urging more stringent protection of native birds. Mr Oliver, Director of the Dominion Museum, drew attention to the havoc among New Zealand birds by the German owl, which increased alarmingly. Mrs P. Moncrieff (a New Zealander) was elected president for 1933. She is the first woman to occupy the position.
