COURE RECORD. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON. October 28. J. L. Black, of Hamilton, broke the course record and headed the list in the two qualifying rounds for the Winter Cup competition now proceeding at the Hutt Golf Club’s annual tournament. His rounds were 70 and 78, a total of 148. H. A. Black of Miramar, with 79 and 72. a total of 151 was second. Sime, Westport, 80 and 78, was fifth. P. C. Fryer 164, and H. E. Troutbeck 165, both of Napier, were seventh and eighth. The previous course record was 72. j In the second round this afternoon, J. L. Black (Hamilton), beat H. E. Troutbeck (Napier) 1 up. A. G. Sime (Westport) beat W. G. Fisher (Hutt). 9 and 8. T. R. McGregor (Hutt) beat W. K. Cook (Hutt), 1 up. H. A. Black (Miramai), beat F. C. Fryer (Napier) 9 and 8. The semi finals and final will be played to-morrow.
