A DELIGHTFUL HOBBY

SKELETON LEAVES. ' Making skeleton leaves is a de- ’ lightful hobby, and an easy one, too. Place a few leaves of the sycamore or beech tree in a saucer filled to the brim with water, and leave out in the open air for a few days. When the leaves have become all pulpy, take them out of the water and lay them on a piece of blotting paper. Select the best specimen to begin on, and with a sharp pointed stick go all over the leaf, gently scraping away the pulpy part and leaving only the skeleton Remove any hard bits encountered with a penknife. When this has been done lay the skeleton on a clean sheet of paper and put somewhere safe to dry. Mounted under a piece of glass these skeleton leaves look lovely.
