The Hill Government was defeated In the Assembly, by 27 to 16, when the Leader of the Opposition, Mr R. L. Butler was successful in having progress imported on the Wheat Storage Bill. Mr Hill earlier threatened that the Government would have seriously to consider its position if the Bill introduced by the Leader of the Opposition as a private measure was passed. State Finances. In the Assembly, Mr Hill stated that the estimated revenue for 1932-33 was £10,056,807, and the estimated expenditure £11,244.300, the estimated deficit being £I.IP* 7 493, comp^ - ' £1,063,360 last year. The unemployment position had saown a inprovement, and the seasonal outlook was encouraging, and there was every prospect of a record wheat harvest. CHANGES IN FEDERAL CABINET. PLANS TO FILL VACANCIES. United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Conyrlght (Received October 7, 7.45 p.m.) CANBERRA, October 7. Unofficial negotiations are going on with the Country Party, concerning the two vacancies in the Federal Cabinet, due to the resignations of Mr Hawker and Mr Fenton, and it is understood that there is a possibility of that party being represented in Cabinet.
