CHACO DISPUTE
LEAGUE MAY INTERVENE. United Trees Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, September 28. The Geneva correspondent of the Press Association states that the Assembly reopened in a more cheerful mood. The Bolivian and Paraguyan delegates, while each maintaining the rightfulness of their own cause, declare willingness to accept League arbitration in the Chaco dispute. Thus an early step has been taken to profit by the exhortations of Mr de Valera and Mr W. M. Hughes that the League should prove itself in the eyes of the world as a real leader of peace. M. Politis announced that it had been decided to leave the mandates In the political committees’ hands.
