The Gale called at Timaru yesterday, and lifted consignments for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth before proceeding to Lyttelton. An arrival from Dunedin yesterday was the Poolta, which loaded for Wellington, Napier and Gisborne, afterwards sailing to Lyttelton. The John should be here to-morrow to lift consignments for Wellington, New Plymouth and Waikato. Now scheduled to arrive on Sunday, the Port Whangarei will discharge a shipment of Australian hardwood. On Monday the vessel w'ill proceed to Dunedin and should be back in Timrau on Wednesday to load for northern ports. This new motor vessel is to join the New Zealand coastal service. Cargo for Wellington. Picton and Wanganui should be taken by the Holmdale on October Ist, when the vessel is due from Oamaru. The Totara loaded at Westport yesterday for Lyttelton and Timaru, and is due here on Sunday. The vessel will discharge coal and load general cargo for Wellington. The Storm is scheduled to arrive from Lyttelton on October Ist. The vessel will take special cargo to Bluff, and is due back at Timaru on hci ordinary run on October sth, to load | for Wellington and Wanganui. To lift cargo for Wellington and Auckland, the Waipiata should arrive j here about October 4th. The Orepuki is set down to load at [ Timaru for Wellington.
