"BLACK” RUMOUR REFUTED. By Telegraolv -Press Association WHANGAREI. September 27. The secretary of the Waro Miners’ Union states that the report to the effect that the men had declared the mine “black” does not accord with the actual position, as the Union is prepared to permit men to engage in heading coal specifically for boiler purposes. The report was probably due to a misunderstanding which complicated the issue as between directors and the Union.
