Josiah Keys, of Koiro. celebrated hi 103rd birthday on Saturday. He wa visited by the Mayor of Balclutha, am also received Dominion-wide congratu latory messages. He had many adven tures in Ireland, United States am Cuba before coming to New Zealand.Press Association message from Duns' din. Mr C. D. Gilling, who has beei appointed head master of the Fairli District High School, lately receiv ed parting gifts from the staff am scholars of the Elmwood School. Th head master, Mr T. C. Wilkins, spoke ii complimentary terms of the work don by Mr Gilling as a member of the stal during the last two years.
