FALLING RETURNS AT WELLINGTON. B 7 Telegranh—Pr«*» Association WELLINGTON, July 30. The Customs revenue collected at the port of Wellington during the present month, totalled £165,807, compared with £190,171 for July 1931, a decrease of £24,364. Included in the present month’s figures is £10,999 derived from the increase of 2d in the petrol duty. The beer and excise duty for the month amounted to £3975. against £3OIO for July of lost year, an increase of £965. The amount of petrol duty this month at 6d per gallon was £32,997 a decrease of £11,432 in comparison with the total for July, 1931, which was £44,429.
