AN OPEN VERDICT. Bj Telegraph- Bres» Association INVERCARGILL. May 17. i At an inquest to-day into the eircumstances surrounding the death of Ernest James Leslie, who died as a result of a gunshot wound on Monday morning, a verdict was returned that he met his death in the manner stated, and that there was not sufficient evidence to show how it happened.
