The president was appointed to take charge of the games on February 20. In connection with a Town v. Country match, Mr Carlton said that if the match could be played on a Thursday, country clubs were prepared to do the travelling. Mr Boulter (president of the Fairlie Club) supported the proposal. Mr Logan said that Geraldine were quite ’in favour of the proposal, but suggested that if the match was to be of eight rinks, two greens be used, so as to get over the end rink. Members were of opinion that the whole object of the game would be defeated if the rinks were split. It was agreed to play the game on Thursday, February 25th, on the Kia Toa green. Each country club will nominate two rinks, the town rinks to be selected by the Centre.
