CALLOUS CRIME
TYPIST SLAIN AT DOOR OF OFFICE. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, January 26. A pretty city typist, Miss Annette Friedson, was murdered at the entrance to her office, Fore Street. Coming to work at 9 a.m., she was apparently attacked from behind. Her fur collar was pulled aside to bare her throat, which was slashed with a razor. The murderer escaped, though hundreds of people crowded the streets outside. Miss Friedson, however, was unable to utter a sound. Instead, she stumbled a couple of flights towards her own office, and then fell dead, a trail of blood bearing witness to her last desperate effort. The police are searching for a man seen talking to Miss Friedson before the tragedy. An early arrest is expected.
