SCHNEIDER CUP TRAGEDY.
DISASTER PURELY ACCIDENTAL. British Official Wireless RUGBY, August 19. In connection with the Schneider Cup tragedy, the experts’ examination of the machine after the crash revealed that the disaster was purely accidental, and not due to any defect in the machine. Lieutenant Brinton’s death cast a gloom over the camp at Calshot, but preparations for the contest are being continued. A team of six other machines is at disposal, including two new Supermarine Rolls-Royce S6B's which were recently successfully tested.
