United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright ROME, August 4. j It is now revealed that Monti was flying one of the two new Fiat machines, capable of 400 miles per hour, specially constructed for the Schneider Cup. Salvage efforts have proved fruitless. The machine is lying at a depth of 300 feet. (A message received on Saturday said:—Flight-Captain Monti, who participated in the Schneider Cup in 1929, and recently engaged in highspeed tests, was killed when his flying seaplane fell in Lake Garda)..
