WEDDING.

KELLAND—SOUTH. A pretty wedding, was solemnised in the Geraldine Presbyterian Church, which was prettily decorated on. July 30th, when Joanna Eva. fourth daughter of Mr and Mrs John South, Orari Bridge, was married to lan Holmwood Chalmers, second son of Mr and Mrs J. Kelland. The ceremony was performed by the UeV. W. J. Couling. Mrs F. Priddle officiated at the organ. The bride, who entered the church With her father, looked charming in a beautiful frock of white morocain satin, with full flared ankle length skirt, falling from a low cut bodice of scalloped reverse material, with yoke of Honiton lace and tight-fitting sleeves. She wore an embroidered veil, and a coronet of pearls and orange blossoms and carried an armlet of maidenhair fern and freesias. The bridesmaids, Miss Mary South (sister of the bride), and Miss Nita Kelland (sister of the bridegroom), wore frocks of rose pink crepe de chine cut on slender lines with long-fitting bodices and flared ankle-length ’ skirts on which were rosettes of frilled lace. With these were worn bridge coats of lace, and pink crinoline hats with bandeau effect. They carried muffs made of the same material as the dresses, and trimmed with freesias and maidenhair fern. Mr K. Kelland, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man, and Mr A. South, brother of the bride, as groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Orari Bridge Hall, which was decorated for the occasion. Mrs South received her guests wearing a frock of black celanese, with hat to match, and carrying a bouquet of red carnations and maidenhair fern. Mrs Kelland wore a frock of black crepe de chine, and black toque, and carried a bouquet of narcissi and autumn leaves. In the evening a dance was held in the Orari Bridge Hall when a very enjoyable time was spent by the large number present. During the evening Mr and Mrs lan Kelland left for Nelson. The bride’s travelling dress was of navy satin, and she wore a navy coat trimmed with skunk fur, and navy hat and shoes to tone.
