HANGING FROM RAFTERS. By Telegraph—Press Association. HASTINGS, August 5. James Wilson (61), retired, was found hanging from the rafters of a shed In a paddock at the rear of his residence In York Street, Hastings, at 12.45 this afternoon. Mrs Wilson missed her husband on her return home from a shopping visit to town, and a neighbour found him as stated. Deoeased was cut down, but life was extinct. MAYOR INJURED. The Mayor of Invercargill (Mr John Miller) had a fortunate escape from serious injury this morning, when his car capsized In the vicinity of Lomeville, and he was pinned underneath. He was extricated by a farmer, and was found to be suffering severely from shock and a broken arm.
