AGREEMENTS SUGGESTED IN DUNEDIN. By Telegraph—Press Association DUNEDIN, July 25. It is reported that neither Reform nor United will nominate a candidate to oppose Sir Charles Statham (Dunedin Central), and it is suggested that if the Reform nominee, Mr D. C. Cameron, is withdrawn from Dunedin South giving the Hon. W. B. Taverner an open fight with Labour, United will not nominate an opponent for the Hon. W. Downie Stewart (Dunedin West). LABOUR CANDIDATE FOR DUNEDIN WEST. By Telegraph—Press Association. DUNEDIN, July 25. The national executive of the Labour Party has endorsed the selection of Mr John Gilchrist as the nominee for the Dunedin West seat. The sitting member for Dunedin West is the Hon. W. Downie Stewart (Reform). CONFIDENCE IN MR WILKINSON. By Telegraph—Press Association ELTHAM, July 25. At a well-attended meeting at Eltham last night, a motion was carried unanimously in support of Mr C. A. Wilkinson as Independent candidate in the coming election. The motion included an expression of complete confidence in Mr Wilkinson as the most suitable man to represent Egmont at the present time.
