ADVICES TO THE BANKS. British Official Wlrcl#s» RUGBY, July 24. The stage of practical application of the decisions reached by the Conference, with a view to the immediate alleviation of the German situation, opened to-day, when the Experts Committee met. The International Bank at Basle acknowledged notification from Mr MacDonald of part of the final declaration concerning the Bank, and stated that it was proceeding to give effect to the recommendation without delay. The Bank had been asked to inquire into the further financial needs of Germany, after arranging for the maintenance of the present volume of credits, and to study the possibilities of converting portion of the short-term into long-term credits.
