The Holmdale arrived from Oamaru yesterday morning, and after loading general cargo for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui, sailed for Lyttelton. The Kahika arrived from the south last night. She picked up general Wellington. Napier and Gisborne cargo, and sailed for Lyttelton. The Opihi is now expected to arrive this morning from Oamaru. Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth are her loading ports. The Tees has been delayed in the south and is due to arrive to-morrow from Dunedin, when she will load for Wellington, New Plymouth and Waikato Heads. The Totara is expected to arrive on Saturday from Oamaru to discharge a part cargo of coal from the West Coast. After loading for Wellington and New Plymouth she is to sail for Lyttelton. The Gale on Monday and the Storm on Tuesday are exected at Timaru for Wellington and Wanganui loading. It is anticipated that the Waipiata will reach this port on Tuesday from Oamaru. She is to load for Wellington and Aucklarfd'. - l ' t Overseas. V The Ruahine is scheduled to arrive here from Port Chalmers on July i. .r, to load frozen meat and general cargo for London. London cargo is to be discharged at Timaru by the Port Dunedin which is listed to reach Timaru on July 6th from Port Chalmers. SWEDISH SHIP’S PERFORMANCE. The Swedish motor ship Bullaren, which is unloading Pacific Coast cargo in New Zealand, was not only the first motor ship owned by the Transatlantic Company, but was also the first of the long series of such vessels built at Gotaverken, Gothenburg. The Bullaren was delivered in June, 1918, and has since been continuously employed in the Australian trade. Up to the end of March she had travelled 644,529 miles; she has never been laid up and has never sustained any serious damage to her machinery.
