LONDON MARKETS. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated 9th instant, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London:— Tallow—No auction until next week. Market continues quiet and quotations nominally unchanged. Hemp—Manila market easier and “K” grade for May-July shipment sold £l7. Steadier at the close; July-Sep-tember shipment being sold at £l7/10/-. Sisal—Market quiet and easier. No. 1 for May-July shipment value £l6/5/to £lO/10/-, and No. 2 £1 less. New Zealand—Very quiet, and no first hand sales reported. Nominal values for May-July shipment on the basis of highpoints £l9, fair £lB and two no. 2 £l3/10/-. Fruit “Fordsdale” practically cleared; “Tairoa” and “Rangitata" working. In good condition generally. Current prices are:—Apples— Cox's Orange. 14/- to 18/-; Jonathan and Delicious, 11/- to 13/-; Dunn’s Favourite, 10/- to 11/-; London Pippin, 10/- to 12/-. Pears—Winter Cole, 9/to 15/-; Winter Nells, 14/- to 18/-; Beurre Bose, 13/6 to 18/-; Comice, 15/to 18/-.
