CANADA’S CURRENCY AFFECTED. United Pres* Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyrlgbv OTTAWA, May 11. The Dominion Government has been in conference on the silver currency question with a leading British authority on this matter, who is at present in Ottawa, Mr Bennett informed the House to-day. The Premier was not prepared to say what attitude Canada proposed with regard to an international currency conference. He stated, however, that the Dominion might be expected to act in an appropriate way for a large silver producing country. The British expert referred to is believed to be Mr J. J. Darling, Director of the Midland Bank, who had a conference with the Premier on Monday.
