MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB. At the annual meeting of the St. Andrews Miniature Rifle Club, held in the Public Hall. Mr E. D. Hoskin (president), presided over an attendance of twenty members. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted: —President, Mr E. D. Hoskin; chairman. Mr W. Cague; secretary, Mr G. H. Smith; treasurer, Mr E. D. Hoskin; club captain, Mr 11. Pugh; handicapper, Mr W. Davey. It was decided to purchase a silver cup to the value of £3/3/- for the best aggregate score off the rifle for the season. Sympathy was expressed with Mr B. Galletly, who had the misfortune to have his back injured whilst playing in a football match, and is in the Timaru Hospital. The first of the weekly shoots was held on Monday night, sixteen members taking part. The shoot was for j a trophy donated by Mr H. Wimsett. i and some good shooting was witnessed. In the shoot-off T. Lysaght won with a score of 67 off the rifle. The following were the highest scores off the rifle (possible 70)—E. Thomas 68, E. Hoskin 69, H. Pugh 67, T. Lysaght 67. W. Cague 66. S. Hoskin 66, T. Sheehan 64, L. Galletly 64. G. Smith 62, G. Hopkins 60, A. Taylor 60.
