INTOXICATED DRIVERS. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, April 11. Reginald James Mackie, aged thirtytwo, a jockey, and Leonard Norman Williams, aged thirty-six. each pleaded guilty to-day to being intoxicated while in charge of motor-cars, and were each fined £2O and had their driving licenses cancelled, Mackie’s for six months and Williams’s for twelve. The Magistrate refused to entertain a plea for the suppression of Mackie’s name because of what the Racing Conference might do. It was no concern of the Court’s, said Mr M’Neil, SM.
