WEDDING.

BELL—WESTON. On April 4th, the Bank Street Methodist Church was the scene of a pretty wedding, when Cecilia Clara, second daughter of Mr and Mrs B. Weston, Timaru, was married to Norman Henry, eldest son of Mr and Mrs W. H. Bell, Timaru. Rev. H. T. Peat conducted the ceremony, and Miss Olive Ray presided at the organ. The bride who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore an ivory satin gown made with fitting bodice, long sleeves, pointed over the hands, full flared skirt, reaching to the ankles, and white satin shoes and stockings. Her hand-embroidered veil was held in by a coronet and clusters of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of white rosebuds and gladioli, which completed a very dainty toilet. The bride was attended by Miss Beryl Baldock (Hazelbum), who looked charming in a maize georgette frock, figured in green and pink, made with fitting bodice and fluted skirt reaching to the ankles. She wore a maize-coloured lace coatee with stand-up collar, a green felt hat and green satin shoes, and carried a tinted bouquet of rosebuds and gladioli. Miss Una Weston (niece of the bride), made a pretty picture as flower girl dressed in pale pink crepe de chene. The frock was made with puff sleeves, and reached to the ankles from the yoke in tiny frills. She wore a pale pink pointed bonnett and carried a basket of pink tinted posies. Mr F. Weston attended the bridegroom as best man. Miss Betty Hutcheon presented the bride with a silver horse shoe at the church entrance after the ceremony.

A reception was held at the Stafford, the bride’s mother receiving her guests wearing a smart navy crepe de chene frock relieved with beige, made with slightly pouched bodice and semiflared skirt, navy blue straw hat and carried a bouquet of mauve asters. Mrs W. H. Bell, mother of the bridegroom, wore a charming frock of navy blue crepe satin, nile green straw hat, and she carried a bouquet of fern and red rosebuds.

Mr and Mrs Bell left later In the day for the north. Mrs Bell wore a navy blue celanese costume with beret and jumper, toning navy kid shoes, and carried a brown velour coat with opposum collar.
