Busmen Go On Strike. POLICE COMPLETELY OUTWITTED United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received April 6, 11.45 p.m.) CAPETOWN, April 6. A tram and ’bus strike dislocated traffic in Capetown during Easter. The tram, company recently absorbed the opposition bus run to Seapoint and appointed Mr Hughes (owner of the opposition), manager of Seapoint section. The men refused to join the Tram Union, and struck at midnight. The police guarded the garages, but the strikers succeeded in getting through the skylight in the head quarters depot, and removed all essential parts, as well as deflating all
tyres. It is raining to-day, and the full effect of the strike will not be felt until the resumption of business to-morrow.
