SCOUT CAMP RAIDED. Vandalism has made itself felt again in Geraldine. When the visiting scouts from Christchurch were attending church service on Sunday evening their camp was raided, and the young vandals who made the raid were not satisfied with disturbing clothing and bedding, but interferred with the food of the camp, soaping the jam and salting some of the other food. It is understood that the police will take action, and thata list of names is in their possession. CONDITIONED OF INJURED GIRL. When inquiries were made yesterday concerning the condition of Miss Eva Goodeve, the sixteen-year-old girl who was run down by a motor car on Saturday night, it was learnt that she was still unconscious. EASTER CRICKET. Owing mainly to the magnificent innings of C. M. Harris, Mr E. E. Luttrell’s team from Christchurch, which met a Geraldine team on the Geraldine Oval yesterday, gained a good lead in the first innings of their annual twoday match. For Geraldine, D. Unwin played a splendid innings, gaining 62 runs for his side. Others reaching double figures were: S, Callanan 10, R. Murchison 17, B. Temple 11, C. Burdon 13 and E. Scott 14. Geraldine’s innings closed for a total of 142 runs. The visitors started badly, but Kippenburger 17, Coe 10 and W. Thomas 16 made conditions brighter for their side. C. M. Harris soon made himself at home at the wicket, and sending the bowling for sixes and fours, made 91 before being brilliantly caught by S. Callanan. Details of the play are as follows: Geraldine.
