SOCIAL NOTES.

Mrs Park and Mrs Donald, Preston Street will leave to-day on a visit to Karitane. Mrs V. Turnbull and Miss Biss, Christchurch, are staying at Cadogan, Sefton Street. Mrs Norman Hope, Grampians, is the guest of Mrs J. M. Barker, Waihi, Woodbury. Mr and Mrs Roberts, Christchurch, are the guests of Mrs G. H. Andrews, Evans Street. Captain and Mrs S. Satterthwaite, Dunedin, who are the guests of Mrs T. W. Satterthwaite, Elizabeth Street, will return south to-morrow. Miss Marion Reese, and Miss Hannan, Christchurch, who are the guests of Mrs A. L. Long, Jackson Street, will return north to-day. Mr and Mrs J. C. Templar, who have been spending the holidays in Tlmaru, will return to Waimate today. Mrs T. Kemp (Wellington) and Mr and Mrs G. Fear (Wanganui) are the guests of Mr and Mrs T. Seaton, Beverley Road. Lady Fenwick, Dunedin, is the guest of her daughter, Mrs W. White, Summerhill, Levels. Miss Fenwick, is staying at Cadogan, Sefton Street. Mis Florence Webb, Martinborough and Miss Hines, New Plymouth, who are the guests of Mrs William Raymond, Nile Street, will return to Christchurch to-morrow. Miss Rosa Tripp, Wai-iti Road, and the Misses Pinckney, Glenaray, Southland, who were the guests of Miss Tripp, Orari Gorge, for Easter, have left for Christchurch. Miss M. G. Havelaar and Miss M. L. Grigg (Christchurch) went to Sidmouth in March, and in June the former hopes to attend the Conference of the National Council of Women in Aberdeen.
