PERSONAL.

Prior to the presentation of trophie; at the Wai-iti tennis courts on Saturday afternoon, the president of the Club, Mr A. N. Leslie, referred to th« passing of Mr W. D. Revell. who was a vice-president of the Club, and a keen, tennis enthusiast. Mr Leslie paid tribute to the many excellent qualities of the late Mr Revell, and mentioned the loss he would be to not only tennis, but to the whole community. At Mr Leslie’s request the gathering stood in silence as a mark of respect and the flag on the Club’s pavilion was flown at half-mast.
