A Wanganui man called the other morning at a tobacconist's to replenish his pouch. "What tobacco do you smoke yourself?” he asked the p;o----prietor. "I don’t smoke,” was t..e reply, “makes me ill. Too much 'juice' in the weed for me. Wish I could smoke. I thoroughly enjoy the bouquet of good tobacco." “Ever tried toasted New Zealand?” asked the customer. "No, but I sell more of it than any other sort.” “Well, you try it. Hardly any nicotine in it. The toasting does that. Most imported brands are full of the poison. Next to none of it in the toasted. As you know, there are only four brands: Riverhead Gold, Navy Cut No. 3, Cavendish and Cut Plug No. 10. As a beginner you should try Navy Cut No. 3. It's prime! So are the other three bradns. And talk about flavour and bouquet I—there's no tobacco on the market to touch New Zealand toasted!” The tobacconist took the advice offered. liNow he enjoys his pipe! ,
