FIRE AT WINGATUI.
A GRANDSTAND DAMAGED. By Telegraph—Press Association. DUNEDIN, December 27. The outside grandstand at the Wingatui racecourse was found on fire after the last race yesterday. Smoke was seen arising from the stand, and the caretaker succeeded in extinguishing the fire with the Club’s fire fighting appliances but not before a big hole was burned in the centre of the stand.
