| MODERN DRESSING TABLES. | A bad mirror can ruin a woman’s entire Cay, so the most important facj tor of a dressing table is its mirror. That it must be of the very best looking glass goes without saying. But mirrors are easily chosen nowadays. For a modern room the plain unframed kind are best; they can be oval, round, ! square, or oblong, according to taste, { and they should be attached to the wall j above the dressing table. J A dressing table must, of course,, | harmonise with the rest of the room. I The cheapest, and one of the most atj tractive kinds can be finished at home. ! A small, unstained kitchen table is I bought, and its legs and sides are j enamelled black or some colour which I tones with the rest of the room. Brightly coloured advertisements are then cut out and pasted at different angles on the top of the table. This is j then sized, varnished, and covered with ; a sheet of glass. 1 A round, unframed mirror is placed on the wall above the right-hand side of the dressing, table. To the left of I the mirror some enamelled shelves are attached to the wall. These will be useful for face creams, scents, and so j on.
