It is expected that the new Parliament will assemble on November 25th for a short session before Christmas. Effect on Stock Exchange. The turnover at the Stock Exchange to-day was of considerable dimensions, but prices generally are lower, owing to the uncertainty of the political outlook, both Federal and State. End of Coalition. The Leaders of the Federal and State Country Parties announced to-day that the pact with the Nationalists had ended, and that future elections would be fought as separate entities. Country Party members would, however, be prepared with the Nationalists in opposing any measure of which they may not approve. The view is held that Country Party candidates would do much better representing solely their own party. Mr Lang’s Return. Mr Lang has returned to Sydney after a brief rest in the country.
