MOTOR ACCIDENT CLAIM. By velegrarh—Press Associ*Von HAMILTON. August 29. Arising out of an accident on the Cambridge-Rotorua road on May 8. when a service car plunged into a gully 92 feet deep, two passengers—Frederick John Evans (furniture salesman), and his wife. Amy Alice Evans—were awarded, respectively, £962 and £269. by Judge Smith to-day, against Albert Newby, the service car proprietor. The husband received a fractured spine, which is now completely knit, but he is unable to work, and his wife received shock which developed into neurasthenia. Four doctors were engaged in the case. Two said that Evans would never be able to do heavy work again; the other two declaring that he would be completely recovered in three months.
