FAMOUS GUELPH TREASURES.

The famous treasures of the former royal house of Hanover were to be exhibited in Frankfort in May and subsequently in the Palace Museum in Berlin. The Roman and pre-Roman art objects are not surpassed by those of any church collection in Europe. Of especial interest and value are reliquaries brought by Henry the Lion form a pilgrimage to Palestine and Constantinople in 1173. In 1866 King George of Hanover took the treasures to Vienna after his deposition, and they have not been accessible to the public for decades.

Special classes in acoustics and other technical subjects for would-be “talkie” operators are to be held in Liverpool, and so many applications have been received that the classes may have to be duplicated.
