A copy of the first edition of Walt. Whitman’s “Leaves of Grass,” printed in 1855, has been sold in London for £515 to Mr Gabriel Wells, the American collector. At the same sale, a first edition of Charlotte Bronte’s “Jane Eyre” realised £420.
