SUDDEN DEATH AT CONCERT. By Telegraph—Press Association. MASTERTON, August 20. A concert at Kuripuni. Masterton. tonight. was marred by the sudden death of Mrs Cadzow. who was just about to play the accompaniment for a song by her husband, when she expired. Mrs Cadzow had just previously played a piano duet with her daughter, Mrs W. G. Perry, and responded to an encore. Deceased was about 65 years of age. FOUND DROWNED. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, August 30. Walter Blunden Taylor. 21. who lived in a tent, and was engaged with his I father splitting posts, was drowned at Karapoti last night. Deceased was subject to sudden seizures, and death was probably due to one of these. The body lay in 18 inches of water. MOTOR FATALITY. By Telegraph—Press Association. MASTERTON, August 20. Wilfred Wrigley Payne, senior clerk of the Telegraph engineer’s office at Masterton. was killed early this evening as a result of a motoring accident near Tinui. Only meagre details are available, but it is reported that a car skidded in mud on the roadside and capsized, deceased being pinned underneath. Death was apparently instantaneous. Deceased was aged 32. and was a married man with one child. FOUND WITH THROAT CUT. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON. August 20. Found last evening with his throat cut in a paddock in Sar Street, Wadestown, a man whose identity is unknown, was taken to hospital in an unconscious condition by the free ambulance. DEATH FROM FALL. By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, August 20. Arthur Thomas McGuinness (38), married, fruiterer, was struck by a motor cycle in a City street last night and thrown heavily on the roadway. He was given medical attention, and walked home where he was put to bed. Shortly after 11 o'clock he got out and fell downstairs. He was taken to hospital where he died this morning. FOOTBALL ACCIDENT. By Telegraph—Press Association TE AROHA, August 20. In a friendly game of Rugby to-day, B. House sustained a broken nose, as a result of a head-on collision with another player. BOY LOSES EYE. xsy lelegraph—Pres* Aaso«i-t>oj* TE AROHA, August 20. While chopping wood, a boy named Robin Ashton, of Waitoa, had an eye pierced by a sharp splinter, necessitating removal of the eye.
