SERIOUS FIRE.
OUTBREAK IN WELLINGTON. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 14. Fire early this morning gutted shops in Courtney Place, occupied by Bamas Brothers, confectioners, and Angus Duncan, tobacconist. The premises were owned % by Archibald Griffiths, and were insured for £BOOO with the Phoenix Company. Barnas’ stock was covered for £llOO in the Northern Insurance Coy., and Duncan’s for £750 on shop goods, and £BOO on the saloon fittings, in the 1.0. A. Coy. The cause of the fire is unknown.
