Splendid rain has fallen in Victoria for several days, with the result that a record wheat harvest is expected. POOL FOR N.S.W. STORMY SUPPORT VOICED. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received August 15, 12.20 a.m.) SYDNEY, August 14. The New South Wales Farmers’ and Settlers’ Association Conference carried a resolution almost unanimously in favour of the Federal Compulsory Wheat Pool, along the lines of the Pool rejected by the Senate. The acting-Premier (Mr Burtenshaw) estimates the forthcoming wheat crop to be 70,000,000.
