GLAMIS CASTLE.
KING’S VISIT THIS MONTH. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received August 11, 7.0 p.m.) LONDON, August 11. The correspondent of the “Daily News and Chronicle” states that the King and Queen intend to visit Glamis Castle, towards the end of the month, to see the Duchess of York. The Prince of Wales and the Duke of Gloucester are also expected. Their Majesties are going to Balmoral Castle on August 23, and will probably motor across fifty miles of beautiful Highland country to Glamis. This will be the King’s first visit, and the first occasion a monarch has stayed at Glamis since the castle ceased to be a Royal hunting box in medieval days.
