IN THE LAP OF THE GODS.
Who’ll Win Fourth Test? ENGLISH CRITIC’S VIEWS. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, August 3. Mr P. F. Warner, in the “Morning Post,” discussing the prospects of the final Test says that the impression of the earlier Tests leaves the Australians the better team. Though England possesses fine individual players, the side does not seem to blend as a combination, largely owing to lack of all rounders. Our batting has not quite reached expectations, despite individual good efforts. Leyland has not done all expected of him. His length is inadequate. Parker is the most effective left-hand bowler in England but being 46 years of age, he is a poor bat and field. Nevertheless, if a soft wicket is assured, he would strengthen the bowling. Chapman is an inspiring leader, but seems to have declined a little as a tactician. MATCH IN WALES. RESUMED ON WET WICKET. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyrlgh r.
