MINIATURE RIFLES.

“HERALD” SHIELD COMPETITION. THIRD ROUND SCORES. The outstanding feature of the third round of the “Herald” Shield competition was the general evening up of the competing teams. In Section 1. there are now only eight points between the first and last teams, while in the other sections, although a little larger margin is evident, there is not a team in the whole competition that can be definitely written out. The fourth round will, on this account be keenly fought out. Pleasant Point A displaced the Fire Brigade in the lead for the Lewis Cup. These teams are shooting extremely well, and the issue for this trophy will most likely be decided between them. The following are the scores:— Section I. WASHDYKE.—Ross 77. King 75. Brown 78.
