ARCTIC AIR ROUTES.
BRITAIN MAY PURCHASE GREENLAND. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright WASHINGTON, July 18. While there is no official confirmation of any actual negotiations, diplomatic and official circles are exhibiting keen interest in the persistent rumours that Britain is seeking to purchase Greenland from Denmark in whole or in part. It is recognised that Greenland will have an important bearing on the proposed British Arctic air route, and it is believed that in the extension of British Treaty rights, Greenland will, at least, be an important consideration.
