SENSATION AT WIMBLEDON. (United Prees Association—By Klee trio Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, June 30. At Wimbledon in the fifth round of the singles, Allison beat Cochet, 6-4, 6-4, 6-3. BorOtra beat Lott, 6-3, 6-3, 6-4. In the third round of the men’s doubles, Hopman and Williard beat Miki and Satoh, 6-2, 6-2, 6-2. Allison provided one of the biggest sensations in the history of Wimbledon, defeating Cochet in straight sets. Cochet, being in remarkable form apparently preferred a five set match. Critics frequently said he would do so once too often, and this happened to-day. Allison, who was on the top of his form completely surprised the champion, and won the first two sets, and, amidst thunderous applause, captured the third with a wonderful drive. Fourth Round. Men’s Doubles. Allison and Van Ryn beat Hepburn and Lorn, 6-5, 6-4, 6-2. Fifth Round. Men’s Singles. Tilden beat Gregory, 6-1, 6-2, 6-3. Fourth Round. Mixed Doubles. Tilden and Miss Aussem beat Brugnon and Mrs Henrotin, 6-4, 9-7.
