AUSTRALIA’S TARIFF.
HIGHER BARRIER RAISED. (United Prnu Association- -By lMdll Telegraph—Copyright.) CANBERRA. June 20. The Amending Tarm Schedule waa tabled in the House by Mr M. F. Forde, Acting-Minister for Customs. The schedule, which embodies the April alerations, imposes increased duties on 114 items, and reduces duties on eight. The most important affected by the increased rates are timber, machinery and motor car chassis.
